Painted onsite in a still afternoon as I stood on the banks of the Salt River at Saguaro Lake Ranch, near Mesa, Arizona. This was after I had just taught a pastel workshop at the ranch. In this year, 2010, the longtime residents said they had never seen the river so high, a welcome relief to the drought-stricken Southwest.
May we all receive the blessings of abundant water and abundant resources, of a rising economy and rising spirits.
