This is one of my favorite paintings. I love to paint with mulitple glazes and soft edges. Both acrylics and oils work well for this effect. This is purely a studio painting, based on a photo taken at a special moment, the kind we see often in Sedona just when we are driving somwhere at the end of the day. We Sedona artists will often pull out our cameras and execute a "drive by shooting." That kind of thing is the source of some of my best pieces.
