1. "Galisteo Basin"
11 x 14 oil by Jerome artist Cody DeLong
Valued at $600-700 framed
Special offer: just $300 framed,
Cody DeLong collectors, fans and students:
Here's a rare opportunity to own one of Cody's excellent Southwest landscapes at a price you can afford!
This beautiful Southwest landscape was painted by Cody DeLong, a rising star Jerome artist who took First Place at the prestigious 2010 Plein Air on the Rim event at the Grand Canyon.
This size and quality would sell in galleries for $600 to $800 currently and will no doubt appreciate with time. Recently a larger DeLong piece sold for six figures in a spirited auction at the Museum of Northern Arizona.
Cody painted this lovely piece, titled "Galisteo Basin," onsite in the 2007 Plein Air New Mexico event. It shows DeLong's typical sensitivity to values, masses, composition and color harmony. I have painted and c0-taught with Cody and I purchased this from him as an unframed special in 2008.
Strikingly framed in a black frame with gold accent (could be traded for a gold frame).
2. "Untitled"
23 x 23 acrylic on panel by Santa Barbara artist Ellen Yeomans
Gallery equivalent: $1000 to $1400, framed
Special offer: just $500 framed
This gorgeous California landscape was painted by Ellen Yeomans, a very talented Santa Barbara artist whose loose, sensitive studies of the beautiful hills of the Golden State are drawing increasing attention.
Yeomans, whose work has sold briskly at museum events in California, is one of the best of a group of artists who have tutored with the nationally recognized acrylic plein air painter Marcia Burtt. This fine piece was painted at Burtt's ranch in 2009. When I saw this piece the day Yeomans finished it, I couldn't help but offer to buy it. I've enjoyed it a lot and learned from her simple but expressive brushwork and juicy color harmonies.
Attractively framed in a contemporary styled natural maple frame with a floating effect (black recess between painting and frame).
