If artists begin to agree that it is time to let go of the egoic thrill of "winning" or even "succeeding" even in terms of sales and status, and were to focus instead upon serving each other and serving life as a whole, I think we would rapidly find ways to have shows and galleries and exhibits and outlets that would better meet this purpose.
Lately I am exploring not identifying as an artist anymore. In truth, I have never been "an artist," but a simply a being. I may still "do" art, but it's time to realize that who I am is not an artist and has nothing to do with outer success and failure [...]
