I seem to have hit a chord affecting many. Gwenn, Nancy and Joe: a delight to hear from each of you and your perspectives on this issue and being an artist. Gwenn, thanks for reminding us of the edgyness that art can serve, to provoke growth. Interesting: I didn't stick around in art school long enuf at the University to hear much of this idea in my day. It was so on the edge then that it spit me right out (absract expressionism, period). It is also good to hear that the younger folks seem to be having different experiences (isn't it, Nancy?). Some of the young men these days seem so beautifully egalitarian in their hearts and minds and it is so good to see that in the world. I wish the very best to each of you. By the way, I've been rewriting and polishing this so the latest version may be a bit better. Now, on to painting!
