Hi, Emma Lisa, Thank you so much for your interest in my art. Sorry about the phone #-- posted it prematurely. It doesn't activate til next week when I open "The Susan Pitcairn Gallery" in Sedona! You can call my home at 928.203.1095 or cell from Wed. noon to Sunday (when we are travelling) - 928.203.6239.
I'd love to sell "Of Heaven and Earth," but right now I'm saving it to pass on to the family. However, I do have full sized 30x36 limited edition giclee of it on stretched canvas that is almost indistinguishable from the original, with artist-enhanced brushstrokes. I could ship you one unframed for $800 or in a gold plein air frame for $1000 and would comp the shipping. OR, I would be happy to do a commission of a substantially similar ORIGINAL piece for $3500 in the same size, 30x36. I love this tree and would love to paint it again, like Monet with his haystacks and waterlillies. That's what I would do (and I predict that my prices will be going up substantially in the next ten years). But eIther way, it's a beautiful centerpiece over a fireplace, sofa or in a foyer. There is a poem that goes with it:
Of Heaven and Earth
Rooted, they, the trees. Standing firm they must, Burrowed deep their roots In solid ground. Yet reaching up to heaven Turning every leaf To the blessing of light, Receiving, embracing, Day after day, Season after season Beyond reason Through clouds and rain, Through the fall of dark, Silently they wait the dawn Knowing, trusting, The light Will come again. They stand firm, they know, They hold the balance Of Heaven and Earth.
— Susan Hubble Pitcairn
I'm rushing around the next few days with a lot of art and travel events but would love to talk with you about this if you'd like to call.
Again, thank you for your appreciation of what this is.
